Fair's Opening Day Offers Free Admission, Corndog - updated 7/21
Be part of history with record-setting opening ceremonies at the 2008 Iowa State Fair. On August 7 get free admission at the gate from 5-8:30 a.m. and then head to the Grandstand to help set a world record for the most people simultaneously eating a corndog. Click here for updated information.

"Oh, Say Can You Sing?" National Anthem Contest
View the video entries and vote online to decide who gets to sing the National Anthem at the Fair. The top 11 contestants will sing at the Fair at 10 a.m. - one for each day - with the
No. 1 singer winning a spot at the opening ceremonies on August 7. Voting ends at noon Wednesday, July 30. Click here to vote.

Flood Update 6/18/2008
The Iowa State Fair's thoughts and sympathies are with all Iowans and fellow Midwesterners who have been impacted directly or indirectly by the devastating storms and floods across the region. To find out how you can help, visit embraceiowa.org or redcross.org. The Fairgrounds have not been damaged by the flooding in Des Moines and all Fairgrounds activities and events are proceeding as scheduled.

Grandstand Tickets On Sale Now
Tickets are now on sale for all Grandstand shows through Ticketmaster. The line-up includes classic rock band Def Leppard with special guest Everclear, “High School Musical” sensations Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu and country superstar Josh Turner. Click here for the complete line-up.
