State Fair Ticket Office
Beginning July 7, the Fair’s Ticket Office will be open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays - Fridays and 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturdays. It is located on the front porch of the Administration Building on the Fairgrounds. Online orders will close July 25 to allow for mailing time before the Fair's opening day. All tickets available while supplies last.
Advance Admission
Adults: $7
Children (ages 6-11): $3
Children (ages 5 and under): FREE every Fair day
Available from approximately July 7 through August 6 at participating Hy-Vee and
Hy-Vee Drugstores, Dahl's Food Marts, Fareway Stores, the State Fair Ticket Office and online at iowastatefair.org.
Enjoy an even bigger benefit when buying early: ticket backs have a
coupon for a free small Potato Olé with purchase at participating
Iowa-area Taco John’s.
Fair Play Packs
These value-packed kits offer discounts on admission, selected rides and food. Available at the State Fair Ticket Office or iowastatefair.org beginning approximately July 7.

Punch Cards
Buy a convenient Punch Card with 11 days of adult Fair admission for just $77. Each punch is good for one admission to the Fair. Cards may be used by individuals or families. Punch Cards may be purchased at the State Fair Ticket Office or iowastatefair.org beginning approximately July 7.

Half-Price Admission
$5 (adults), $2 (ages 6-11) Monday - Thursday, 5-10 p.m.; not good with any other discount. Also offered all day on Extreme Sunday, August 17.

Your concert ticket DOES NOT include gate admission to the Fair itself - you MUST buy a gate admission ticket to be admitted to the Fairgrounds.

Midway: 10 a.m. to Midnight
Gate Information
Although there are some exceptions, in general, the following schedule of openings will be followed:
- Gates #2 and #3 (East 33rd and East 36th and University) open at 6:30 a.m.
- Gates #4 and #5 (Campgrounds) open at 6 a.m.
- Gate #7 (Dean Avenue) opens at 6 a.m.
- Gate #8 (Dean Avenue) open 24 hours a day
- Gate #9 (west of 4-H Exhibits Building) opens at 6 a.m.
- Gate #10 (East 30th and Walnut) opens at 6 a.m.
- Gate #11 (East 30th and Grand) opens at 6 a.m.
