Pricing is $750 per session; either 9 a.m.-2 p.m. or 3 p.m.-9 p.m.

The Shelter Rental Includes:

  • 44 picnic tables (seating for approximately 352 people)
  • 20 cocktail-style tables with chairs for additional seating
  • Ambient-style sound system
  • Garbage cans
  • Electrical outlets
  • 1 complimentary move-in/move-out pass with parking access
  • Conveniently located restrooms
  • On-site or off-site catering options

Catering choices include on or off-site caterers for food only. All beer purchases must be purchased from an on-site caterer.

Fair Restaurants

In addition to our on-site shelter, the following Fair restaurants are able to accommodate groups. Please contact the restaurants directly to inquire about availability.

The Depot

Located west of the Varied Industries Building on Grand Avenue, The Depot has a rock n' roll/sports bar theme. The Depot features a nightly DJ, a dance floor and eight televisions to watch the all the games.

The Depot can accommodate groups of 20 to 80 people from 8 a.m. to Midnight (excluding the first Friday night of the Fair). Menu options include a choice of a sandwich, French fries, and fountain drink. Kid's meals are a choice of a sandwich, French fries and kid's drink. Additional items include pizzas, walking tacos and nachos. Menu items must be chosen in advance. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages tickets are also available, please call for more information. Check and cash accepted for payment.

Old West Bar BQ

Old West Bar BQ is a western-themed restaurant located at the corner of Rock Island and Walnut, across from the Cattle Barn. Old West features various barbecued foods and cold beer with a patio that accommodates larger groups.

Old West Bar BQ can accommodate groups of 10 to 50 people from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Menu options include: dinner with your choice of beef ribs or barbecue chicken or Iowa pork chops with coleslaw and baked beans. Sandwich options are marinated chicken breast sandwiches, Philly cheese-steak sandwiches and smoked beef or smoked ham sandwiches. Chickens strips, French fries and onion rings are also offered. Beverages include Coke products, Budweiser and wine coolers. Cash is accepted for payment.

Stockman's Inn

Located at the southwest corner of the Cattle Barn, Stockman's has a country flavor and features live country and rock music every evening from 7 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.

Stockman's can seat up to 56 people in their air-conditioned dining room and up to 75 with the use of the adjacent patio beginning Wednesday (the day before the Fair starts) until the last Sunday of the Fair. Menu items include USDA choice steak, smoked pork chops, BBQ pork sandwiches, pork tenderloin sandwiches, smoked Angus brisket sandwiches, chicken breast sandwiches, bratwurst, burgers, seasoned fries, coleslaw and more. Appetizer party trays are also available, and all food may be ordered in advance. Beverages include Pepsi products, iced tea, lemonade and several domestic and imported beers. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage tickets are also available. Cash, check or credit card are accepted for payment.
