Newton Artist Wins State Fair Hooked Rugs Title

Joanne Thomason of Newton won Best of Show in the Hooked Rugs division of the Fabric and Threads Competition, judged before the start of the 2024 Iowa State Fair.

Mary Anne Johnson of Ames received the Sweepstakes award.

Fabric and Threads exhibits will be on display every day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building sponsored by Principal.
