Food: It is a Wrap with Azteca Tortillas

Anne Gillotti of Ankeny won first place and a $50 cash award in the It’s A Wrap With Azteca Tortillas contest judged Thursday, August 15, at the 2024 Iowa State Fair.

Cathy Stahlman of Boone earned second place and $30. Jodi Brady of Runnells claimed third place and $20.

Entries were judged on creative use of tortilla and taste.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. There were 140 divisions, 726 classes and nearly 6,400 entries at this year’s Fair. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center.
