Horses pulled their best during the Horse Pulling competitions held Saturday, August 17, at the 2024 Iowa State Fair. Ray Smith of Clark, Mo., took first place in the Light Class, and Jordan Hansen of Preston, Minn., received first place in the Heavy Class.
