Photographers Capture the Best Moment to Grab the Attention of Judges

Photographers from New York to central Iowa submitted their best photographs to the 84th Annual Photography Salon prior to the beginning of the 2024 Iowa State Fair.

Sarah Becker of Grimes won Best of Show in the Adult competition and Reed Peterson of Oskaloosa won Best of Show in the Youth Category.

“Leading Lines” was the 2024 Photography Theme Class. Photographers were given the guidelines to create images that draw viewers into the photograph. 2,579 photos were entered, and 833 photos were accepted into the Photography Salon. The Photography entries will be on display on the third floor of the Patty and Jim Cownie Cultural Center each day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
