Homemade Holiday Candy-Making Classes with Chef Andrea Love

The Kitchen on the Iowa State Fairgrounds

Get into the holiday spirit and elevate your holiday treats with delicious homemade candies and holiday goodies, with two special classes offered by chef Andrea Love on Monday, December 9 at 6 p.m. and then again on Saturday, December 14 at 10 a.m. in The Kitchen on the Iowa State Fairgrounds.

Learn easy candy-making techniques, enjoy samples along the way and take home your very own collection of holiday treats, including chocolate-covered peanut clusters, chocolate-filled marshmallows, candied pecans, fudge, peanut brittle and homemade caramels. Every class registration also includes a pint jar of special hot cocoa mix. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!

Homemade Candy-Making Classes

Monday, December 9 at 6 p.m.

Saturday, December 14 at 10 a.m.

(90-minute classes; limit of 30 participants per class)

 $70

Adults and children over 12 are welcome to attend.

Tickets will go on sale Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 10 a.m.

Mark your calendars for the January kitchen class with Nash Roe from Nash's Confections, LLC and the Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship Season 11 "Biz Kids" Episode 1. This class will cover the essentials of cinnamon rolls and the famous CINNA-Roe® on January 4, 2025. Tickets for the January class go on sale on December 9, 2024.

About Chef Andrea Love:

Andrea Love started Dinner Delights in 2017. As a busy mom of three boys, there were many nights when whipping up a home-cooked meal was impossible, and she began her business to help others simplify mealtime, by spending less time cooking and more time enjoying life. Dinner Delights’ affordable and delicious ready-to-cook meals make busy nights easier.

About the Iowa State Fair Kitchen:

During the Fair, The Kitchen, located in Maytag Family Theaters, is a popular demonstration kitchen for anything from cuts of meat to barbecue, cake decorating, charcuterie and cooking with honey. From November through April, stay tuned for interactive, educational and fun cooking classes for all skill levels. Learn from local experts, using local products.
